Cookies and storage
Last updated 12 October 2026
Snug sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking cookies. It has none to ask you about, which is why there is no consent banner in your way.
What is kept in your browser
snug.v1: your plan, so a draft survives a refresh before you have an account. Signing out clears it, so the next person on this browser never sees it.snug.theme,snug.music.*,snug.rail: the light/dark choice and the music controls, so the app opens the way you left it.- Auth0 sign-in tokens, if you sign in. These are what keep you signed in between visits.
All of it is local storage rather than cookies, none of it is sent anywhere for advertising, and clearing your browser data removes all of it. The first three exist only to give you back what you asked for; the last is what signing in means.
Third parties that see a request
Loading any page fetches typefaces from Google Fonts and is served by Vercel, so both see your IP address in the ordinary course of serving the page. The community garden opens a connection to PartyKit for its shared state. None of these place an advertising cookie through Snug.
More detail on all of it is in the privacy policy.
